RACE & COURSE INFO:
The 6th Annual Indian Summer 5K and 10K running race is set for Sunday, September 16, 2007. In addition, there will be a Kids 1K Run Run open to children 12 years and younger. Organized by the folks at the Boulder Running Company, the event is a benefit for the Orphans of AIDS Trust in South Africa and the City of Boulder Parks & Recreation EXPAND Program.
The 2006 Indian Summer Race will be held at the Boulder Reservoir, with great views of the Flatirons and Front Range mountains. Participants have a choice of either a 5K or 10k running race and will receive a cool Nike running shirt (men's and women's sizing is available) as part of the entry fee! The 5K and 10K courses are on soft-packed dirt trails around the Reservoir.
Volunteers from the EXPAND program will provide support at aid stations along the course, supplied with Eldorado Natural Spring Water, Gatorade and energy gels. The races are professionally timed by Amie & Benji Durden and their staff. The 5K and 10K races are qualifiers for the 2006 Bolder Boulder.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers overall, male and female, in each race as follows:
10 Kilometer Race
1st Place overall Male & Female = $200
2nd Place Overall Male & Female = $150
3rd Place Overall Male & Female = $100
5 Kilometer Race
1st Place overall Male & Female = $150
2nd Place Overall Male & Female = $100
3rd Place Overall Male & Female = $50
Age group winners in the races (male and female) will be awarded $25 gift certificates to the Boulder Running Company.

Great Raffle Prizes!
In an effort to raise additional funds for the Orphans of AIDS and EXPAND, the Boulder Running Company will sell raffle tickets ($2 each or 6 for $10) for specific items, including backpacks, bags, running shoes, clothing and much more! Purchase as many raffle tickets as you wish at the BRC in Boulder starting Wednesday, September 12 or at the Indian Summer Race. Winners will be announced and prizes given away following awards at the event.
